This is Part 2 of the course led by James Rae, a top sax guru and one of the most published authors of educational material for woodwind in the world.

It is based on the hugely successful method for alto saxophone Introducing the Saxophone, published by Vienna based publisher Universal Edition, and is the first of its kind providing popular styles yet allowing for a sound musical development through to intermediate level.

The course follows on from Introducing the Saxophone Part 1, and includes more lessons, demonstrations and peformances with backing track accompaniments that make practice fun and help the student to build confidence in playing and performing.

In the course, James teaches you each note of the saxophone in turn, as well as tone production, breathing, how to read music notation. scales and arpeggios, different options for fingering and more advanced theory concepts like the Chromatic Scale. It is perfect for musicians with some training looking to advance their skills or get back into the alto saxophone after a long break, and can be used for self study or with a teacher.
